CARBON AUDIT

Methodology - Carbon Audit

We offer you the opportunity to determine the carbon footprint of your business, product or activity according to the original Czech methodology ©carbonaudit. The method is in accordance with the international standard ISO 14064 Greenhouse gases. If required by clients, it is possible to certify the calculation of the carbon footprint according to this standard.

The advantage of this method is that it is based on the original Czech data, therefore it is specific to the conditions in the Czech Republic. It reflects, e.g. the way of production of domestic electricity and greenhouse gas emissions associated with it. Are you interested what the burden of the climate is associated with the operation of your office, manufacturing company or a particular product? Would you like to provide your clients, customers or partners clear information that you do not ignore the impact on the environment? Do you want to join thousands of companies in foreign countries (e.g. in Great Britain http://www.maydaynetwork.com) which calculate their carbon footprint? Then methodology ©carbonaudit is right for you.

Calculating the carbon footprint audit involves the following basic steps:

  • Step 1 - determining the limits of calculation – what part of your business we will include in the calculation, what part of the production and sales cycle of products, etc.
  • Step 2 - determining the activities that release greenhouse gases (e.g. electricity consumption, transport, waste production).
  • Step 3 - data collection – for each activity identified in step 2 it is necessary to collect data on an annual basis.
  • Step 4 - Transfer of active data on greenhouse gas emissions using emission factors.
  • Step 5 - Identification of measures to reduce emissions.

The result of the analysis is an official certificate ©carbonaudit from company CI2, o.p.s. This guarantees the amount of your annual emissions for a given year, their distribution by scopes, trend (in case of repeated calculation) and recommendations for reducing the carbon footprint.
